More Eagle on Ice

 

Here are some more photos of the eagle we saw standing on Lake Wisconsin yesterday.

This is an immature eagle that was flying around.

We were surprised at how close the eagle let us get to it. It seemed as if we could have gotten even closer, but we didn't want to scare it. There would have been a really cool photo of the eagle high-stepping across the ice, but unfortunately that photo was out of focus. I do like how some of these photos make the eagle look kind of like a chicken with a fiercer beak and talons. A bird is a bird, after all.
