Today I worked from home. It was very wet out, so Travalon and I walked around the house in the morning and then ventured out for a short walk in the neighborhood at lunchtime. There isn't much more to say about my day, but I've had a feeling of dread all day. I think it's partly because of the election, though I'll admit I'm pretty pleased with the results that are coming in. A lot of it is because of that horrific private jet crash in Florida on Sunday - as a person who's terrified of flying, I have been told many times that planes don't just fall out of the sky, but this one sure seemed to have done so. I saw video of the crash, but I haven't listened to the minute and a half of the audio when the copilot is talking to the tower and telling them that they were going to crash. I've read that you can hear the pilot praying the Lord's Prayer in the background. A minute and a half must be excruciating when you're hurtling toward the ground. At least nobody on the ground was hurt (except possibly one person with a leg injury), but there was no miracle for the people on the plane. I don't know anything about the tech bro who was on the plane, but his tiny children and the 20-year-old copilot deserved more time.
On a more cheerful note, here are some photos of train graffiti that Travalon took with his phone.
Tomorrow I may get some screenshots off of videos he took last week, so watch for that.
