Travalon and I went to watch the Packers play
the Cowboys at the Middleton Sport Bowl. Keep in mind that they were playing in
Dallas, where the Pack hadn’t won since 1989. That’s before Rodgers and even
before Favre! The first half of the game we were wishing we had Rodgers or even
Favre, because the offense couldn’t get anything going after their initial
field goal. And the Packers had a doughnut defense – full of holes! At halftime
the Pack were down 23 points, and Travalon and I thought about leaving, but he
said, “Let’s wait until the third quarter is half over and see if they improve.”
And they did! I don’t know what Coach McCarthy said to them, but the Packers
came roaring back to life in the second half. We just couldn’t believe it –
victory was within reach! A very drunk guy kept saying, “We’re going to do it!”
I have never screamed so much at a bar, but we all were. Then an interception
got overruled and things were looking a little bleaker… but the Packers forced
a couple more turnovers and won the game by one point! That’s how much they won
their game last week by too, but we’ll take it. Winning by one point is still
winning, and the Packers’ season is not yet over as they remain in the playoff
chase after their terrible November. Everyone in the bar was hugging and giving each other high fives. It was almost as exciting as winning the Super Bowl three years ago!

I'm so glad we didn't leave, I heard quite a few people gave up on the Packers at halftime. This shows we are true fans. That was definitely a historic comeback.
I can never actually give up on the Packers, no matter how badly they are doing.
