July Four

Inspired by the Jethro Tull song "Living in the Past," which is actually in 5/4 time, I decided to try my hand at writing a song in 7/4 time. However, it took Kathbert to point out the obvious: that the perfect day to post a song in 7/4 time would be on 7/4! Duh. Thus inspired, I came up with this patriotic ditty, which Rich says makes more sense than my Birthday Song for the USA from last year.  I'll let my 6.8 other readers be the judge of that. The fireworks are the ones I filmed last year on the 4th.
