This morning I went back to the aging study for the last third of the MRI, and this time I listened to Steely Dan, when they let me listen to music. Because the study person had gotten there late on Friday, we couldn't do the whole MRI then... but actually we could have, since the person after me had canceled. Since someone canceled this morning too, that's when we did it. I also had to do a balance test that we couldn't do on Friday because the study person forgot some equipment at home. Then I caught the shuttle back to my office, where my computer kept rebooting due to updates. Then a faculty member asked me a question, so I was trying to log into a site that requires dual factor authorization... and my phone was updating, so I couldn't get in. Not long after that, a guy who looked like a Celtic god, like an extra from Outlander or something, appeared at my door and demanded to know what I was doing there. At first I was confused, but then I remembered the building manager had a super Irish name, both first and last, so I asked if that's who he was. He did give me permission to stop in weekly to water my plants, but I had to go home to work. Which was fine until I got to the entrance of our road, which was blocked by construction machinery. Eventually they moved, and the rest of my workday was uneventful.
When Travalon came home, I mentioned that I'd seen some graffiti in the rail yard this morning when my shuttle passed by there, so we drove over there and took some photos.
Travalon worked in Sun Prairie today, and he sent me these photos, saying, "Here's my train sighting for the day."
After that we went swimming in the outdoor pool at our health club. It was getting late by then, and most of our fellow swimmers were adults. The pool allegedly closes at sundown, but nobody came to kick us out, and when we left, there were still plenty of people in there.
