R&B on the Monona Terrace

Today I worked on campus and had a meeting with my boss, and she said someone had complained that I had threatened them. What I actually said was that I ought to sic the faculty member on them whose expense report they kept screwing up, and I had complained to someone about how many times this person had screwed up, but you have to admit it was clever of them to complain about me threatening them to distract from how badly they had screwed up. No indication that they got a talking to... At least my boss didn't think it was a big deal, she just promised to talk to me about it to pacify the people who complained about me. She also noted that I am not the only person who got this talk, which makes me wonder if the person who caused all the trouble for me is pulling the same stunt with everyone: frustrating them until they lose their temper and then complaining about that so nobody notices their own screw-ups.

At lunch I walked with Hardingfele, and we went to Allen Centennial Gardens, where we saw the prickly pears in bloom.

And also water lilies in bloom.

In the evening Travalon and I went to the Monona Terrace to see an R&B band called Kinfolk. I love R&B, since it's minor key and syncopated. It was a beautiful night, but cool, so we were glad we had brought hoodies. There was an adorable girl sitting in the row ahead of us, and at one point she was staring at a $2 bill in her hand with great puzzlement while wearing a unicorn horn tiara. I can't even convey the level of cuteness overload there. I think she was about five? Lots of other cute kids there as well. Then on the way home, Travalon spotted a train, so we went to the parking lot by the ice rink on Commercial Avenue and made videos of it. I'll try to put them on YouTube at some point... My YouTube channel is getting to be nothing but train videos and Niko coming out of tiny backpacks these days. I guess there are worse things, but I'll never get a large following with that sort of content.

We could see that the moon, Venus, and Jupiter were in a line.

And now is as good a time as any for some DuoLingo bragging.

That is about ten and a third years! I did the math so you don't have to.
