Today Hardingfele sent me an article about a Russian cat
nursing some orphaned hedgehogs. (This story should appeal to my Russian
readership.) The photos are cute, but it is the comments on this post that
really make it noteworthy. Especially this rant about same sex marriage in
Ireland, which one might argue has nothing to do with cats in Russia who adopt
hedgehogs:
THIS IS WHAT WILL HAPPEN IN IRELAND IF WE LEGISLATE FOR GAY MARRIGE. WE WILL
SEE THE COLLAPSE OF ALL MORAL CODES – PARENTS WILL BE ABLE TO MARRY THEIR
CHILDREN. HUMANS WILL BE ABLE TO MARRY BADGERS. HORSES WILL BE ABLE TO MARRY
TURNIPS. WEIGHTLIFTERS WILL BE ABLE TO MARRY TRAFFIC BOLLARDS. THIS IS WRONG
WRONG WRONG. WE ARE ON THE TOP OF A SLIPPERY SLOPE.
I like the choice to write this all in caps. It drives home the writer's passion, or possibly insanity, about the subject. And for your convenience, I am including the photo that came up when I googled traffic bollards:
