ART Party and Panther Mound

Yesterday I had no voice, was sneezing and coughing a lot, and had a runny nose. I went to work anyway, and I had a one-on-one with my sort-of boss, who seemed apprehensive, but I said, "I think it's just allergies because it rained this morning." In the afternoon there was a party for all the ART people, and I sat at a table with two ladies I didn't know. Then an Associate Dean saw me and sat down, and I was shocked because he had been on leave forever, so I thought he was in a coma or something, but he seemed just fine. That made all these other bigwigs sit at our table, so those first two ladies probably hated me. The party was just cookies and lemonade, a speech from the Dean of our college, and "people" bingo (you had to find this kind of person, that kind of person, etc.) with a drawing for gift certificates. I didn't win, but two different people named Kelcey did.

I got the monthly badge from DuoLingo.

Also Duo the Owl has upped his drag game:

I texted this to Travalon, who responded with a photo of Roy Jr. saying "Too young to be exposed to this!"

Today I was planning to go to the Benefits Fair with Seabird and then take the afternoon off to help my Union buddy who looks like a leprechaun staff our Union table. However, I woke up feeling truly miserable and stayed home from work and Adoration. Jilly Moose covered for me at Night Prayer. (Thanks, Jilly Moose!) The one thing I did today was take a walk with Travalon at Governor Nelson State Park. In honor of Indigenous Peoples Day, he wanted to go see the panther mound, so we checked that out, and some conical mounds. That was about all I could handle today. He did bring me a Curder Burger from Culver's, since today is the last day, as well as a pumpkin shake that I split with him. Probably more calories than I needed on a low-energy day, but don't they say "Feed a cold, starve a fever"? Hopefully I feel well enough tomorrow to go into work, because I didn't bring my computer home Monday night so I can't easily work from home. (I could probably figure out how to log in remotely from Boethius II; I did write down the IP address of my new computer at work and could try to do it if it ever comes to that.) Also, tomorrow I'm supposed to get my flu and COVID shots, and will they even give them to you if you're already sick? Guess I'll find out tomorrow.
