Today the weather was beautiful. Since I was going to pray a rosary during my adoration hour, I figured it wouldn't matter if I ran into my talkative neighbor during my noontime walk, so I decided to head her direction. I wouldn't have had a chance to avoid her by going the other way anyway, since she was waiting outside my front door, and we don't have a back one. We didn't run into anyone else for her to talk to, for which I (and I'm sure her little dog too) am grateful, because my walk was steady enough to count as a workout. It wasn't enough active minutes, but I got those this evening by fighting with a fitted sheet while changing the bed linens.
I have blogged about people having bad trips before, and what might be the spiritual causes of that, but I was not prepared for the study that just came out saying people who have bad trips while taking hallucinogenic drugs are at a very high risk of dying within the next five years. Really? Is coming face-to-face with God so scary for these people that it actually kills them? I feel like we all need to know more about this. It did say the biggest cause of death was suicide, which explains a little, but not everything.
As promised, here is a video of a train going over the bridge in our neighborhood. I took this video last May, on Pa Hat's birthday. Soon it will be this green again...
