Celtic Christmas Boutique and Ceilidh

This morning Frankie was cuddling Niko.

Jilly Moose sent a photo of Chambord.

As Travalon watched the Wolves play Crystal Palace, he had his Wolves creatures on one side and his Crystal Palace creatures on the other side.

The Wolves lost 2-0. At this point I don't see how they won't be relegated. But the rest of the day was much better, because first we went to the Greek Orthodox church and picked up our order, and we ate some "galactic burritos" and "tree pita" while sipping on Greek coffee, which is like a shot of coffee. Next we drove to Wauwatosa to visit the Celtic Christmas Boutique, and I bought way too much stuff, like this necklace pendant for Christmas.

And this little stuffed Christmas tree that glows under blacklight.

Upstairs there is a music library with very old phonographs that still work.

They also had this mandolin, somewhat like mine but in much worse shape.

After that we went to a restaurant downtown for a late lunch, and we sat outside in a heated shack like the ones ice fishermen use.

It was so cute! The whole restaurant has a Northwoods theme, and they play loon calls in the restroom. There are even loons on the lights in front of the restaurant.

Here are a couple of shots of downtown Wauwatosa that Travalon took.

It's a very cute place. Then we hurried back to Madison so we could get to the St. Andrew's Society ceilidh at Four Winds Farm, the same place where Madison Irish Fest was held. I wore this new cape I got at the Christmas Boutique. (I got a new hat too, but I'll post a photo of that when I wear it somewhere.)

Some Shamrock Club buddies were there, like the one who went to Alt Brew and the couple we saw at the No Kings protest. I talked Travalon into doing one dance, and I danced several myself. The band took a break and a bagpiper played, and then some people did the Highland Fling.

I should have zoomed in. Better yet, I should have made a video. It's a very athletic dance.

On the way home, Travalon and I went through the Fantasy of Lights at Olin-Turville Park. There were some new displays this year, like a Night Mares one.

This is the tunnel you drive through at the start.

The Badger football team had a night game tonight, and it was their last home game and also Senior Night. I had read an article in a student newspaper that the seniors were feeling demoralized about this season, but then tonight they beat Number 23 Illinois, and pretty handily too, 27-10. That's a good note to send the seniors out on!
