As promised, here are photos from China Lights. First, the Dragon King and his sons:
These are some of the Chinese Zodiac animals.
Travalon was born in the Year of the Snake.
I was born in the Year of the Pig.
After the cranes, we went into the Southeast Asian jungle.
This big tree? fungus? had butterflies on it and emitted bubbles now and then.
Then we went into a lotus patch.
And then we were in the South American jungle.
This is a very long dragon.
And then we were in the garden with small bugs.
We went on a vegetable walkway.
That led to the daisy garden.
This is an animatronic peacock that lit up different colors as he opened and closed his tail feathers.
These flowers full of butterflies and hummingbirds constantly changed colors.
Then we went into the Wisteria Tunnel.
These monkeys were on a swing, and you could swing with them.
You could make this dragon dance by turning a crank.
You could activate the fireworks on this tree by beating a drum.
There were other fun things, like light-up swings and seesaws, but they were very busy with kids wanting to go on them, so we didn't bother. There was nothing quite as cool as the volcano from last year or the talking parrots from two years ago that repeated whatever you said, but it was still a lot of fun.
