Rainy Day in the Domes

This morning Travalon and I met Tiffy, Jilly Moose, and Anna Banana II for breakfast at Creme Cafe, then Travalon left for work and we ladies drove to Milwaukee to visit the Domes, since it was a rainy day so we didn't want to be outside. I rode with Tiffy, and we stopped at a gas station with a small petting zoo. The peacock was showing off.

Check it out - there was a goat hiding behind his impressive tail!

Here are some photos from the Domes. First, the Show Dome. Their theme today was Georgia O'Keeffe.

These photos are from the Desert Dome.

And these are from the Tropical Dome.

That orchid cactus is pretty impressive, but Kathbert had one bloom a couple of weeks ago that was just as impressive.

She said someone abandoned it and she rescued it years ago, and it keeps getting bigger so she was getting sick of it and thought about getting rid of it... and then it finally bloomed, like it read her mind.

When we got done with all three Domes, it was still raining out, so Tiffy headed home and we other three ladies went to the antiques mall in Oconomowoc. I found all these things.

From left to right: an unusual rosary, a one-decade rosary pin, an Infant of Prague chaplet, a beautiful rosary that I used to pray in the car on the way back, an interesting and very cheap palm tree necklace, and another rosary.

When we got back to Madison, we went out onto my dock and sat in the sunshine, talking. Why couldn't it have been that beautiful all day? Or at least long enough to take a walk? Oh well, we really enjoyed our trip to the Domes on this rainy day.
