The other day Travalon, Rodney, and I went to the house of
the married B-Boy and Mo-Girl. Their two-year-old daughter, an unusually gentle
toddler, is obsessed with dogs right now, and she wanted to meet Rodney. He was
not a disappointment either, being just the right size for her to lead around
as she commanded him, “Doggy, come!” He is likewise a gentle soul, so the
meeting was a happy one, and Travalon and I imagined the little girl talking
nonstop about the “doggy” all the next day. It was cute overload watching these
two little creatures interact. Kids and dogs belong together like peanut butter
and jelly! Mo-Girl says her sister has a dog, but it is an enormous beast. We’ll
see if the tiny child likes that dog as well as she liked Rodney…
