Autumn Colors

Travalon had to work on Sunday, so he got Monday off. He used his time off wisely, to drive north and check out autumn colors. He sent me some photos, and this one was my favorite. At first I thought it was an island, but perhaps it is just a peninsula. Still very cool.

This is Chute Pond Co.Park near the town of Mountain, WI in the Nicolet Natl. Forest, about an hour north of Green Bay. I discovered this place many years ago, and visit it a couple times of year- a long, but enjoyable day trip. I've hiked the trail through here and I think its a peninsula although it seems like an island as there's a small lake on one side of this area, a bridge going over a waterfall/dam, which comes out of the lake on the other dropping into a river which flows along the other side and a stream which which forms a natural water slide that kids enjoy in summer on the far end of it. What might make it a peninsula is a narrow piece of shoreline connecting this land mass to another one where the campground is. What I need to figure out is if that stream comes out of the lake, cutting into the shoreline somewhere with another little bridge (that would make it an island) or if it comes from a natural spring somewhere on this land mass( that would make it a peninsula)
