It’s the Ides of March, and there is still snow on the
ground. Last year at this time it felt like summer; I would be satisfied if it
were just starting to feel like spring. There is snow in the forecast next Thursday!
Does it never end? I realize next Thursday is the first official day of spring,
but usually there isn’t snow on the ground during the annual St. Patrick’s Day
parade around the Square. This year I don’t see how we can avoid it. Oh winter,
why don’t you go away and let spring have a chance?
