Ode to Pasquinel

Travalon's Lexus SUV Pasquinel is at the end of its natural lifespan, so I am writing an ode to it. Here is a picture of this faithful vehicle.

The day has come when Travalon must sell

His stalwart vehicle Pasquinel.

"Where did he get that name?" you may ask.

The fur trader in Michener's Centenniel.

Last summer when everything was shut down,

You took us to the North Woods so we could run around.

You took us to Alabama, Florida, and Rock City,

But your traveling days are done - oh, what a pity!

We had such fun adventures with you, Pasquinel,

So many more than I ever could tell

In one little poem, like the time that we went

To Washington Island, and our time was spent

On the ferry, watching you get a free wash

From the wild waves that over the bow did slosh.

You traveled so much that you just plain wore out,

And it’s not safe for us to take you all about,

But we’ll always remember you with a fond smile

Now that you have driven your final mile.
